The "LEUCO p-System Profile Cutter" ranked third at the LIGNA 2013 Innovation Symposium in the category "Mechanical Processing Innovations". LEUCO developed the cutter together with the saw mill specialist EWD (Esterer WD GmbH).The "LEUCO p-System Profile Cutter" revolutionizes in saw mills the removal of the wood edge before cutting off the side boards. So far, this process was made by means of a combination of wood chip knives and saw blades and after 60,000 running meters the machine had to be stopped to change the tools.
