Ghana is seeking to import timber from Cameroon to feed local processing plants lacking the raw materials to operate fully.Cameroon contains some of the Congo Basin's most biologically diverse forest - over 300 species - extending over 22 million hectares. The country is a main tropical timber exporter, 80 percent of which is shipped to the European Union.
