SPANISH MEPS HAVE SHOWN THEIR SENSITIVITY TO ISSUES AFFECTING THE WOOD INDUSTRY

A Thanksgiving Day-Action-European timber was organized by the European employers' wood industries CEI-Bois, EPF (boards) and EOS ( sawyers) in Brussels in order to draw the attention of European policy makers about the role of wood in the fight against climate change, an act that marks the beginning of other actions in the European Union. Spain was the country that had a greater representation of MEPs at the conference, four, which was attended on behalf of the Spanish Confederation of Wood (CONFEMADERA) its President and its Secretary-General Francis de Paula Huidobro and Francesc Pons, respectively, and the Secretary General of the National Association of Board Manufacturers (ANFTA), Genoveva Canals.
