The American Hardwood Export Council (AHEC), is set to conduct a series of grading workshops in India during the second week of October 2012. The workshops, which will be held in the cities of Kochi, Chennai and Hyderabad, are free to attend for importers, traders and end users of hardwoods and will revolve around educating attendees about the wide variety of American hardwood species as well as their important environmental credentials. The workshops will be delivered by Dana Spessert, Chief Grading Inspector, National Hardwood Lumber Association (NHLA), who will also provide an introduction to the NHLA rules for grading North American hardwood lumber.
